These are the things you need to clean to get shines. After all 8 are collected, Mario can then grab the Shine Sprite that appears. Mario must then head in and grab the 8 Red Coins found throughout the tall grass area. Rocket up to one, rocket up to a platform with a pipe. By the west beach, there are palm trees sticking out of a cliff wall. After destroying the pad, the Shine Sprite will appear which will require one more Rocket Nozzle blast to collect it. Afterwards, there is a special pad that must be hit with a super Ground Pound by using the Rocket Nozzle again to rocket into the air and then Ground Pound from that height. Mario must head over to the light house and use the Rocket Nozzle to get to the top of it.
Mario will play a mini-game where Mario will need to use the turbo nozzle to waterslide down a course with a shine at the end. Bash down the wood doors at the police station. Break through the saloon style wood doors. Get Yoshi to the same island with the gold bird. Squirt the gold bird down which will cause a Shine Sprite to emerge. Jump and hover when under to reach a red coin mini-game. Mario will need to take a ride on the boat that goes under the bridge. He will throw you into a building where a shine waits for Mario. On one of the roofs in the back of town, there is a Chuckster on the roof. Walk in and Mario will need to smash a bunch of crates in 30 seconds. This is available after event 2.There is an open door in the back of the island. You will have to slide down a long path with jumps and holes. Go into the pipe and you will play a mini-game.
